About the Book: Baby Bat and the Ice-Garden

“Isn’t that a cave over there” asks Morgan. “ I wonder if anyone’s inside”
“Hello” he yells loudly, “Come out, come out”.
Suddenly an eerie pale figure floats out of the dark cave towards them.
Morgan and Little Fly jump with fright.
“Wha wha what are you” gasps Morgan.
“I’m Baby Bat” answers the strange creature, “And I’m friendly. Your yelling woke my family. We’re nocturnal, so we like to sleep all day and go out at night” he laughs.

In this Morgan and Little Fly adventure, the friends visit Garden In the Woods , a glacier-formed area in Framingham, Massachusetts. After wandering down a little-used path, they come across a dark cave. There they meet Baby Bat and his large family of quirky bats. Morgan and Little Fly spend a delightful afternoon learning about the Ice Ages, glaciers and bats. If only they'd noticed the rainclouds moving in…
